Session with Live Happy Magazine {Folsom Photographer}

In July of last year, we were contacted by Live Happy Magazine to do some editorial photography for an upcoming issue. The story focused on Folsom’s local Gina Mulligan and her non-profit Girls Love Mail.

Girls Love Mail supports women recently diagnosed with breast cancer, by sending out handwritten notes from people across the globe. Gina founded Girls Love Mail in 2011, after battling breast cancer herself. She wanted to give back to other women who needed support. “A handwritten letter is more than just the words. It’s the stationery, the ink - all of those personal touches that really come through when it’s written by hand.”

Working with Gina to get the photos for the article was inspiring! It’s hard not to feel uplifted by her happy and grateful spirit. We’re so glad we could work with her, as well as Live Happy to spread the word about this amazing program.

Chen Family Session {Folsom Family Photographer}

This is one of our favorite shoots from last year. The light! The outfits! The adorable kids! Obviously we had to take them down to the river. We also captured some great lifestyle shots at locations close to our studio. We love how the kids were enjoying each other! They couldn't wait to throw their arms around each other, and show off their great smiles. 

This is a classic example of how matching outfits can effect a photograph. The different shades of blue work perfectly together. We also love the subtle plaids on the boys.

We think this session turned out great and what fun we had!

Irene + Nick are Expecting

Their baby may not be here yet, but there are a few things we already know for certain about Irene and Nick’s baby….

He or she is going to be ridiculously cute, he or she will grow up to be incredibly kind, he or she will be easy going yet resilient, he or she will be so very loved and supported by their family.

How do we know this? We had the pleasure of photographing Irene and Nick’s maternity session and have witnessed their love and commitment to each other through that. Its the small, seemingly insignificant things that always stand out to us when we spend time with our clients. For instance, the way they look at each other just brings a smile to our faces! Swoon!

Isn’t Irene absolutely glowing and simply drop-dead gorgeous!?

Football Season Is Here

Who’s ready for Friday night lights!?

We've been having a ton of fun football related senior sessions lately! So fun, that we sometimes loose track of time and have a hard time making ourselves stop shooting.
